Student organizations with a SABS bank account have the ability to collect money and sell goods and services online. This online platform allows organizations to collect money from credit and debit cards. A link is set up which may be accessible to members and to the general public. The link brings your customer to a marketplace where they can select the item(s) they would like to purchase. Items may be tangible (like tee shirts or stoles) or they may be intangible (like dues or registration).
There are no fees or finances charges incurred to use this service. To minimize treasurers having to handle cash and checks, organizations are encouraged to use this service whenever possible. There are endless scenarios in which organizations may use the Online Marketplace. The most common are: dues collection, merchandise sales, and conference registration.
To request an Online Marketplace, complete the SABS Marketplace Request form. Please submit your request at least one week prior to the start date of your event.
